Lily Wright:
William Kent Krueger’s Cork O’Connor Series are wonderful books, a fantastic series. Excellent characterization, descriptive, interesting information about Native American culture. Very touching as well. Each book is better than the last. His series and stand along books are all superb. Read the Cork O’Connor series in order for the character development. His characters age, and change, in real time. Excellent interweaving of indigeneous culture and challenges, along with character development and, of course, crimes.

Absolutely agree. I enjoyed the Book of the Month discussion of “Iron Lake” and hope to see a future discussion of one of his stand alone books. In that case, my recommendation would be “Ordinary Grace.”
Yes, I enjoyed the Book of the Month discussion for “Iron Lake” as well! And I have read “Ordinary Grace” and very much enjoyed that book! It’s been a few years since I’ve read that one though, so I would have to do a reread to prepare for the discussion, but I would very happily do so if it were to be selected! 🙂
