C J Sansom is my favorite author. I can reread his books so many times. He is a master of words. If you’re looking for another amazing detective, Matthew Shardlake a hunch back Lawyer in an incredible series set in the time of Henry V111. There’s always a murder, but there’s also so much historic detail and Matthew Shardlake finds himself in a history of true events, solving murders along the way. So there’s fiction and non fiction in each book. Simply outstanding, absorbing and addictive. Best to plan some time off because I can not put them done once I start reading and everything else will definitely get put on hold. They are remarkable reads, every one of them! Also read them in order because there’s always a reference to the previous books.
