Sept-Îles
The Long Way Home reference: Gamache, Jean-Guy, Myrna, and Clara embark on a ferry from the port.
Real world location: The Port of Sept-Îles extends along a deep 45 km bay cutting into the north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. An archipelago of 7 islands form a scenic natural barrier at the mouth of this large body of water, which affords safe anchorage for ships throughout the year.
The port has a Cruise Ship Dock but primarily handles commercial cargo traffic. The area is also serviced by a ferry operated by Relais Nordik.
