What burning questions, observations, or comments do you want to share?

Observation-I lost track of the time in this discussion and realize I am responding to this question a day late!

Questions-I have two. Why don’t we hear about Jane Neal’s house after the murals are discovered? In a previous discussion question, we identified the multiple examples of foreshadowing in “Still Life.” I always wonder if LP did that intentionally, creating character arcs and future stories or was she simply creating interesting characters and later used that in an a new story.

Comments-Thanks to everyone and the admins for a wonderful discussion that added to my appreciation of “Still Life.”

I’m late to the question too, Jane as we’ve been having lots of discussions! I too wondered about Jane’s house. Whatever happened to it? Someone asked Louise this question and she apparently answered that “things essentially evaporate at the end of a book.” But I could see Clara making it into a museum of sorts for the villagers. It’s the biggest dangling thread as far as the series goes but I think that’s okay. I wondered why we never revisited some of the characters that appear like the Crofts. Speaking of side characters, I hadn’t realized Dr Sharon Harris has been around since Still Life and living in a neighbouring village too. There were elements that I’m sure, Louise simply didn’t want to revisit (or is keeping them in her back pocket for a “rainy day”).
