We don’t love star ratings, but are very curious to know what our very dedicated group of LP readers think of the new book. How many stars (on a scale from 1-5) would you give The Grey Wolf?

I really loved this book. One of my favourites in the series. So I’m at 5 stars

I’m not a fan of the star system either, but here is my star rating. 5 for the Daniel/Gamache relationship development alone. That made this book outstanding for me. The thriller and suspense aspects were fun and made the book highly enjoyable. There were some small negatives also, but, in my opinion, I feel the positives far outweigh the negatives for this one.

I give Grey Wolf a “5” and definitely will re-read it in the near future.

Can I do half stars? I rate it 4.5 but only because I have to wait a year for the next book! If I wasn’t so impatient a 5 for sure. 🙂

I’d give it a five. She maintains mystery and tension throughout, from the phone ringing to the ominous mention of the Black Wolf. She navigates a host of old and new characters, integrating several locations seamlessly. Her ability to combine easing jocularity with tense scenes is impressive. She integrates characters and places from previous books to a degree that you can’t help but feel at home if you read her series.

I also give it a 5. This is my favorite of her last few Gamache books.
