Hi! I just logged in for the first time and saw a bunch of spoilers! The auto-generated list of recent posts includes a LOT of information.

Hello Roxanna, good to see you here! Thanks for the feedback! The list of topics for discussion that is listed on both the forum and discussion pages have been edited to make the topics more ambiguous. There shouldn’t be any spoilers in the top level topics now.

We hope that seeing topics for discussion hasn’t spoiled any surprises for you? If so, please accept our apologies. And thank you again!

Add the ability to edit posts created on the Home page.

(For now, if you see posts with typos, please assume that autocorrect is to blame for creating an error in what would have otherwise been a perfect masterpiece of a post!)

I’ve received a few duplicate emails for comments on my posts. When I checked, there was only one comment, but two emails for the same comment

Apologies, we were trying to enable some privacy settings for the notifications to mask email addresses and ip addresses, like they do for Craigslist in that everything looks like it comes from our servers and keeps everyone’s information private, but we think it’s better to just delete all private information as much as possible instead. You shouldn’t receive duplicates now, and your notifications shouldn’t contain any private information other than names, comments and the URLs to posts.

I have twice typed a comment that did disappeared. I may well have done something to inadvertently erase it but if you can help me figure out what I did, that would be great. In any case, the second version was probably better written. A little mandatory editing can be a plus!

Sorry Jane! We just found your comments labelled as spam! We have no idea how it got designated as spam, so there’s something else to try to fix. There’s no need for a spam filter at the moment. We’ll approve your first version then so both are published, but we can delete one if you’d prefer. Apologies again!

Well, we received hundreds of spam messages after turning off the spam filters! So, the spam filters are back on. But thanks to you, Jane, we’re aware that the filters are flagging inappropriately, so we’ll keep a closer eye on content that gets hidden by the system.

We had one member on our FB group who always had her comments flagged and hidden. They were perfectly nice comments, not spammy at all, but none of her comments would ever get published immediately. It seemed like the FB spam filters had singled this poor member out for no good reason! But we always approved them whenever we remembered to check.

I think the second version is just fine! Everything improves with some editing.

hello! I’ve been only reading the last few days and today I’ve begun posting. I notice that all comments in a thread have the same date and time as the original post. Is there a way they can be changed to reflect the new comments actual date and time? Also, some of the threads say they were made a year ago. Was this group really here a year ago? I only noticed the announcement for it for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Hello Vicki! Thank you so much for the feedback! We’ll definitely look into this date issue. It’s true, some threads were created a year ago, when we were building this site and trying to figure out what could be done with it. We started developing this site about a year and a half ago, and we officially launched it in June. So we’ve been up and running for about five months now. We’re still very new and there is much room for improvement, but we’re happy to work on this platform to help and support our friends in this special community as best as we possibly can. Thank you again!
