      Did you know about Bletchley Park and the women that worked there before you read the novel? If you did, did you learn anything new from Kate Quinn’s novel?

      I did know about Bletchley and that women worked there, but I wasn’t aware to the extent that they did. And I didn’t know that there was a unit of women cryptanalysts involved directly with the codebreaking, like Beth, so that was interesting because I had thought it was only support work that they did. I also didn’t realize there were such large computation technologies that were used, like the bombe that Mab maintained.

      For many of those who worked in these positions, I think that the official secrets act might have been the most difficult. It’s hard to keep secret something that was so big a part of your life.
