Ahhh!! I just finished listening to this book and I need to go back and re-listen to some parts. What a story! I really enjoyed the roller-coaster ride. It was fun to try to predict what had happened and put the little clues together. I’m anxious to hear what others thought of this book!!
I have read all of Alice Feeney’s books and this one is my favorite. I loved the twists and turns, the always wondering why things were so strange, and some of the parallels to today’s world. I also saw some parallels between the Isle of Amberly and Three Pines which intrigued me. Then I must admit the way these women dealt with misogyny hit home due to what’s currently happening in the States and because this has long been a battle for women.
I loved Gone Girl when I read it years ago. Although I don’t recall the details now, I felt that this story was another one along those lines. However, I think this is the most twisty psychologic thriller I have ever read. This book was my first exposure to Alice Feeney and I loved it.
