William Kent Krueger is best known for his Cork O’Connor crime novels set in northern Minnesota. Fans love Cork, the part Ojibwa, part Irish detective. Many Louise Penny fans name Krueger as their favourite author after her and love his stand-alone books, like Ordinary Grace, even more than his series. Mentioned often is the wonderful sense of place that Krueger evokes with his writing.
