
Patti Callahan Henry
Patti Callahan Henry is a New York Times, USA Today, and Globe and Mail bestselling author of seventeen novels, including her latest, The Story She Left Behind. Writing both contemporary and historical fiction, she is best known for Becoming Mrs. Lewis, the acclaimed story of Joy Davidman and C.S. Lewis, which earned her multiple honors including The Christy Award Book of the Year, The Harper Lee Distinguished Writer of the Year, and The Alabama Library Association Book of the Year. Her work has been translated into over 20 languages and recognized by Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Goodreads, People Magazine, and Book of the Month.
Patti is the co-host and co-creator of the popular Friends and Fiction weekly web show and podcast. She has also hosted original podcasts including the seven-part “Behind the Scenes of Becoming Mrs. Lewis” and created exclusive content for books like Surviving Savannah and Becoming Mrs. Lewis. She contributed regularly to Parade Magazine’s monthly life lessons column and has written for anthologies and short story collections, including the Audible Original Wild Swan, narrated by Cynthia Erivo.
Originally from Philadelphia and the daughter of a Presbyterian minister, Patti grew up along the East Coast and now splits her time between Mountain Brook, Alabama, and Bluffton, South Carolina. A former Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, she holds degrees from Auburn University and Georgia State University. She now writes full-time, is married to Pat Henry, and is the mother of three and grandmother of two.
