ML Longworth

M.L. Longworth was born in Canada and moved to California after marrying. She and her husband lived there for several years before a planned family vacation to Paris and Provence in 1996 turned into a permanent stay. Longworth reveals that she searched for “France-Computer-Jobs” just prior to the holiday and her husband ended up getting a position. That was the beginning of her family’s life in Aix-en-Provence. She began writing about the region for The Washington Post, The Times (U.K.), The Independent (U.K.), and Bon Appétit Magazine. While writing for periodicals and teaching writing at NYU Paris, she began writing a mystery novel set in Aix. Her first novel, Death at the Château Bremont, was published in 2011 to much acclaim. She has written ten Verlaque and Bonnet novels (otherwise known as the Provencal Mysteries) since then and the books have recently been adapted for a television series on BritBox.
