I love the covers for both wolf books. I think I might be biased because I love dogs, but I find them both stunning. I also love the art for TMOC; the brightness is beautiful. I’ve always disliked the cover for TLWH, but after I realized that the image was upside down, I appreciate how clever it is and love that aspect of the art.
I also love the covers for both wolf books. I also love the one for All The Devils Are Here because I love Paris and the Eiffel Tower. I like the light in the covers for The Trick of the Light, A Beautiful Mystery and How the Light Gets In.
I am a big fan of both Wolf book covers, too– they are eye-catching, beautifully rendered, colorful, well-balanced, and are very pertinent to the stories. I have also always liked the cover of How the Light Gets In, because I love how that light at the top left spills into, through, and among the darkness of the trees, over that cold snow. The color contrasts appeal to me, but also the sense of the story that it brings to me when I look at it– reminds me of that climactic moment of the desperate chase through the trees, and everything that was at stake, and how the light got in in that situation. The picture, when I look at it, gives me a sense of peace and hope; the light at the end of the tunnel. The light got in!
I like all the color in TMOC because for me it elicits the frenzy and frenetic activity that can occur in crowds. All of the covers are very worthy of the book.
