This is so very cool. I have never heard of needle felting but the result is so interesting. Is the felt challenging to work with? It looks like it produces a wonderful texture.
It is much easier (and more forgiving) than painting with oils or water colours! You start with wisps of wool laid out on some kind of canvas (I use quilt batting) with something behind it that will accept stabs by a special needle) and then adhere the wisps of wool to the backing by stabbing many,many times through the the wool and backing! Very therapeutic!
