Recommendation
The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek is an authentic piece of historical fiction and so wonderfully written! Kim Michele Richardson also wrote a sequel, The Bookwoman’s Daughter, which is also great! Although fictionalized, the Fugate family in Kentucky were very real. The Pack Horse libraries were a life line across many regions and a blessing championed by Eleanor Roosevelt. These are both WONDERFUL books. I absolutely loved them both and highly recommend them.
