I will attempt to pay my cat tax here, lest I be considered delinquent! Can't get a pic of these two together, because even after several years of living under the same roof, they just don't like to hang together, and will not pose nicely for a group photo!

  1. Thank you! I actually never post their real names on social media — I read somewhere that I shouldn’t (though seriously, I don’t use my pet’s names for passwords, and I think that’s what the caveat was about, if I remember correctly), but these two have many aliases in addition to their formal names, depending on how they’re behaving for the day. My orange boy can be Handsomest of Men or EEjit, depending on what he’s up to; my little black and white girl can be my good Baby Girl or Miss Stinkerbelle….

    1. That’s a very good idea not to post their names, or to use aliases, and even smarter not to use their names as passwords at all. (Ahem, note to self to change some passwords.) Your nicknames are hilarious! I can just image what they get up to when either get called by their second alias!! We love a good naughty cat/pup story here. If you haven’t had a chance to read through some of the other taxes paid, you might find a few that will give you a good smile. 🙂

  2. A photo together? Pshaw. That sounds like a simply impossible task in the cat world. After all cats must remain fiercely independent for their glamour portraits otherwise they will lose their brand cachet as, well, cats.

    1. Ah, you are blessed with wise furry companions. My boy seemed to want a friend, so when that little girl showed up on my doorstop in the middle of a cold winter, I brought her in— but there can’t be two rulers in the same kingdom, and these two refuse to share peaceably. The Queen generally gets her way, much to the former king’s dismay. Fortunately, they have subdivided certain areas of the home as safe spots for themselves. Me, I’m just the lackey that serves them….

      1. I love that you rescued her. She’s so gorgeous, I can’t believe she didn’t have humans who loved her before you. Can’t blame her now for trying to get that turkey; she’s seen tougher times and she’s a survivor.
