Here's one more for today. This is Word on the Water, a unique floating bookshop in London. This amazing little bookstore is housed on a 1920s Dutch barge that cruises along the Regent’s Canal. It was established in 2011 and offers a carefully curated selection of both new and second-hand books.
AND, this place is not just a bookshop, it's also a cultural hub, hosting live jazz performances, poetry readings, and other literary events on its roof. I've never been, but apparently, it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its distinctive atmosphere and eclectic collection. So charming!
Oooh! I really love this idea! Books, community, music, art and companionship. I wish there were more places like this.
