Love this! This was an art installation by Richard Wentworth at Leadenhall Market in London. Wentworth got all of the books from flea markets, apparently. Look closely, they were suspended and not on a shelf! You can see the lines they are attached to. Unfortunately on windy, breezy, and rainy days, the books swayed and got damp. Many of the books were ruined, so this art installation was taken down in 2015. Still, it was one of the most popular displays at Leadenhall Market, not only with respect to visitors, but also, it's still one of most discussed art pieces today! I thought you all would enjoy this. 🙂

Oh, this is fabulous!! I would have loved to wander down this strip and see which books he chose. I’d like to think that he picked out each book carefully, not just for size and color and how it would show for his art, but also for its content and messages. Thank you for sharing!
Cool! This reminds me of a Chihuly exhibit but with books overhead.
